Measuring

The following instructions will guide you through the best method for measuring a window to suit any type of blind. Before measuring, you must decide if the blinds would be more aesthetically pleasing fitted inside the window recess or outside the window recess.

Please note that all measurements needs to be checked by a fully qualified blind fitter before final manufacture. Eclipse takes no responsibility for mis-measurement. This measuring method is not suitable for IsoDesign or INTU blinds both of which require a more sophisticated method.

Inside Recess
Using a metal tape, measure horizontally inside the recess three times, once near the top, once near the middle and once near the bottom. Record the smallest as inside recess width.
Measure vertically inside recess three times, once near the left, once near the middle and once near the right. Record the largest as inside recess drop.
Outside Recess
Using a metal tape, measure horizontally outside the recess three times, once near the top, once near the middle and once near the bottom. Record the smallest as outside recess width.
Measure vertically outside the recess three times, once near the left, once near the middle and once near the right. Record the largest as outside recess drop.
