1971

Eclipse Blind Systems was established and was at that time wholly owed by the McNeil brothers.

 

The company was set up to be the premier supplier of quality fabrics and systems to the blind industry.

1980-88

Winner of the Queen's Award for Export Achievement twice.

 

 

1991

As the company grew expansion prompted a move from the original base at Hillington to the new location at Inchinnan Business Park near Glasgow. This site was deemed to be perfect not only because of its excellent transportation links but also because it gave room for further expansion of the complex.

 

Re-floated as Eclipse Blind Systems plc

 

 

1998

Eclipse was bought over by Headlam who specialise in the supply of floor coverings, a complimentary product range to window coverings.

 

 

 

2002 

Eclipse was bought by Turnils AB who are a global window coverings supplier. For more than half a century, Turnils has been developing the window covering business and their offering consists of systems, components and materials to independent fabricators around the world. They also supply machines and support services in manufacturing, business and marketing.

This link with Turnils has given Eclipse a strong network with which to channel products, especially fabrics, which are core to the entire business.

 

 

2007

Eclipse Blind Systems is now the most innovative supplier to the industry with a unique range of fabrics that reflect changing trends in style and fashion. Available nationwide through an extensive base of suppliers, Eclipse continue to supply quality products coupled with excellent service. The in-house development team ensure that Eclipse retains its position at the forefront of blind design with products like the INTU range.
